A while back I illustrated a big educational poster for BearVault (a company that sells bear-proof canisters to store your food while camping), and recently I did some fun souvenir stickers for them too! They wrap around the lids of the canisters and highlight landmarks along the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trails. Check them out here:

Settling in to my new life in Colorado! (My whole family left Texas to be close to my sister, and also for the cooler weather/hiking.) Kazoo and I are renting a little house with three other girls and their dogs, and I've got a nice chill job as a night auditor at a hotel (with plenty of down time to work on my own stuff!).
I promise I haven't died...and am indeed working on my own stuff...there's just been so much lately with moving, home DIY projects, job applications/training, Etsy orders, and properly fitting Kazoo with her own entire wardrobe of little handmade sweaters. I've got ideas for more groovy fanart, and I hope to finish/scan/post all my art planners from the past several years (yep, I'm still doin' those!).
But most recently I've been pursuing a new dorky hobby: AUTOHARP!
Not gonna lie...I did eventually pass the point of overplaying the Beatles. I still love them of course, but I've also been exploring a whole world of OTHER music and making some fantastic discoveries! (And when I say "whole world" I pretty much mean just more psychedelic/garage/folk rock from the mid-to-late 60s). My new favorites are the Monkees, the Turtles, Simon & Garfunkel, the Beau Brummels, and Lovin' Spoonful, the last of whom often uses this gorgeous instrument called the autoharp. I made myself wait until I got my first paycheck from my new job, and then I ordered my own. It's beautiful and vintage AF (my fangirl ass just had to have one similar to John Sebastian's). My fangirl ass also bought his "Learn to Play Autoharp" tape and PORED over it till you ain't never heard a better performance of "Three Blind Mice." Now I'm working on all my favorite songs, growin' all the dendrites, and just having a blast. Seriously, anything on this instrument sounds like magic. I'll post videos when I get better at it.
Stay groovy~
