The Christmas special that I interned on this summer came out a few days ago! I think it's pretty great--cute, funny, creative, and just the right amount of kooky. Definitely worth checking out!
Watch it here--> www.hulu.com/watch/727814#i0,p…
I mostly did inconspicuous intern-y things like sanding eyelids and assembling elf parts, but If you look in the backgrounds of crowd and street scenes you can see some of the background characters that I got to design and dress! (They had blank character bodies and I made the clothes/hair/faces/etc.)
Here's some photos of the ones I made; see if you can spot them! (I've only been able to find 6, including the complex one at the bottom; the rest are probably in deleted scenes or just weren't needed.) There's Groucho on the right hehe (look for him by the lamppost during the shot where lovesick Buddy is floating across the street).
That's supposed to be my sister on the left with the cat hat, but I don't think she made it into the final show:
And I didn't design this guy below, but he was a more complex background character that I got to dress based on a sketch by the character designer:
Really great experience, got to meet lots of incredible people, and learned a ton about stop motion production! I was hoping they might put the interns in the credits...but they didn't oh well haha.
Well have a wonderful holiday ~ eat everything and watch cartoons!
